Two Choirs, One Church, and a Festival Worth Closing Properly

The Winchcombe Music Festival has been running since Friday, and this is how it ends — a gala concert at St Peter's that brings together two of the region's leading male voice choirs and a soloist who doesn't sit neatly in one category.

The Cotswold and Cirencester Male Voice Choirs perform together, which means a serious weight of sound in a church built to hold it. Hannah Davey joins them as soloist — a Cheltenham singer who works equally across classical soprano and jazz, and has performed across the UK and Europe. That range, when it's handled well, makes for the kind of evening that's difficult to predict and hard to categorise — which is usually a good sign.
