About this event

When names become musical portraits

Trio Paradis brings a 45-minute Cafe Concert to Malmesbury Abbey with Jacquelyn Bevan on piano, Ruth O'Shea on violin and Linda Stocks on cello. The musicians present the programme themselves, with a poem or two from Jackie Tong also possible.

The music includes portraits of Sylvia, Margaret, Susan, Jennifer and Mr Belloc, alongside pieces by composers whose own names have a story, including Gelinek and Schytte. The Abbey cafe is open for refreshments before and after the concert.

No booking is needed, although an RSVP is appreciated, and the organiser suggests arriving early for a good seat. Parking is available around the town centre but some options are time-limited. Good disabled access is advertised, though the long-stay approach includes 63 Abbey Steps, so check the best route if step-free access matters.

Free entry, with a pay-what-you-feel retiring collection. An RSVP via Trio Paradis is appreciated.
