About this event
Peter and Debbie made the classic holiday mistake — they got chatting to a stranger and, in a weak moment, invited her to stay. The Unfriend is the play about what happens when British politeness meets a genuinely dangerous person, and you're too embarrassed to do anything about it.
Steven Moffat's dark comedy — the man behind Sherlock and Doctor Who — centres on a couple who discover their new houseguest may well be a serial killer, but face the rather more pressing problem of how to un-invite someone without seeming rude. Three nights at Townsend Hall, performed by the local drama group, at just over a tenner a ticket.
Shipston's a lovely town to make an evening of it — worth the drive out.
