The Corn Exchange in Witney plays host to Quantum Theatre's touring production of Beatrix Potter's two most famous tales, rolled into one 90-minute show with an interval. Quantum are a well-regarded outdoor theatre company with a long track record of adapting classic stories for young audiences, and this one has been a regular on their summer circuit for years.

Peter and his cousin Benjamin sneak into Mr McGregor's garden despite knowing full well they shouldn't, and things quickly unravel: a net, a snarling cat, the man himself. Michael Whitmore's adaptation keeps both stories intact and moves at pace. Doors open at 14:30, show starts at 15:00. The Corn Exchange is a proper indoor venue so no need to worry about the weather, but the company's outdoor-touring roots mean the show is designed with children in mind from the ground up, with live performance rather than anything screen-based.
