Sleeping Beauty: relaxed pantomime (Saturday afternoon)

A fairy tale with the house lights on

Buttercross Theatre Productions gives Sleeping Beauty a gentler theatre setting for people with sensory sensitivities, learning disabilities, young children or anyone who prefers a relaxed show. Aurora faces a spinning-wheel curse, with good fairies, comedy and musical numbers along the way.

Sound and lighting are softer, with no sudden loud noises or strobe effects, and the house lights stay partly on. You can move around, make noise, leave and return, or take a break whenever you need.

The characters introduce themselves before the show, and visual guides and pre-show information are available on request. Both venue entrances are step-free, the Main Hall has level access, and you can contact the company to arrange accessible seating or discuss other needs.
