Talk & LectureThe Glosters in the Korean War: Why Is It Relevant Today?

About this event
Adrian Zareba brings the restoration story of Mead House to Corinium Museum, sharing what he found in the archives and behind the woodchip. The mid-18th-century Palladian house was the long-time home of the Cripps family. Zareba and James Morris bought it in 2022 and are returning it from commercial offices to two residences.
The talk also opens a window on Wilfred Cripps, whose later additions held a private collection of Roman remains that was eventually absorbed by Corinium Museum. It is a local case study in how old houses, archive research and sympathetic repair fit together, rather than a tour of Mead House itself.
Both the 11am and 1pm sessions are sold out, with waiting-list places available through the organiser. Corinium Museum has full disabled access, accessible toilets, a wheelchair loan service and quiet spaces, although the event listing does not specify the talk room's arrangement.
Ticketed. Sold out; join the waiting list.
