Seven Nights at Ronnie Scott's, One Night in Fairford

Denny Ilett sold out Ronnie Scott's for seven consecutive nights with his Jimi Hendrix Big Band experience. On 13 June he brings his quartet to the Palmer Hall — and Fairford is very much the beneficiary.

A jazz guitarist and vocalist with a following across the UK and mainland Europe, Ilett plays two sets covering blues classics, Sinatra, Ray Charles and the best of the American Songbook. The quartet around him is no afterthought — 16-times award-winning pianist David Newton, bassist Paul Jefferies, and (TBC) Sebastian de Krom, best known as Jamie Cullum's drummer. The kind of lineup that would cost considerably more in a city.

The Jazz Club at Fairford runs out of the Palmer Hall — an intimate room that suits this music well. Tickets £23.85 including booking fee, 50+ available.
