Disney at the Corn Exchange: Five Decades, Five Films

The Corn Exchange has been at the centre of Witney life since 1863, built in Italianate stone by the original Corn Exchange Company and now fitted with an in-house cinema system for exactly this kind of morning. This summer the venue is running five films across five weeks, one from each decade, and The Little Mermaid kicks it off.

The 1989 Disney original runs 83 minutes: Ariel, King Triton, Sebastian, Ursula. It was the film that relaunched Disney animation, and the songs hold up. A Tuesday morning showing fits neatly into a school holiday week without taking up the whole day.

A season ticket covering all five films for the price of four is available in person at the box office only, not online.
