Shipston-on-Stour Valuation Day with Charles Hanson: Gold, Silver, Jewellery, Watches & Antiques

About this event

Bring the Attic Finds to Sheep Street

Charles Hanson trained at Christie's before joining Bargain Hunt in 2002 as one of its youngest experts, and went on to found Hansons Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbyshire in 2005. He has since presided over sales including a Qianlong-period Chinese vase that made £650,000, and he still takes his valuation days out of the saleroom and into town halls like this one.

Bring gold, silver, jewellery, watches or antiques and a specialist will look them over on the spot, no appointment needed and nothing to book in advance. There is no obligation to sell anything afterwards. If something is worth more serious attention, they will talk through what a future Hansons sale might look like for it.

Townsend Hall has been the town's room since 1907, and for two hours on the 12th it becomes the place to find out what has really been sitting in that drawer.
