Jake Leg Jug Band at Thirst Edition

Old-time songs of gambling, liquor and redemption

The Jake Leg Jug Band bring 1920s and 1930s American jazz, blues, ragtime and gospel to Thirst Edition. Their repertoire includes songs of murder, betrayal, gambling, liquor and redemption, giving this micropub evening a flavour of the prohibition era.

The band centres on Duncan Wilcox on vocals and double bass, and Warren James on vocals, guitar and banjo, with guest musicians joining the wider line-up. They play two 45-minute sets, and the pub admits over-18s only.

RSVP is available through the organiser. Confirm admission terms before travelling.
