About this event
The Cotswold Sculpture Park's amphitheatre, set within the park's grounds near Somerford Keynes, is one of the more atmospheric places to watch outdoor theatre in the region. Sculpture on all sides, open countryside beyond, and on a warm August evening, it's a good combination.
Jenny Wren Productions bring their comic new play to the Park this summer: Holmes and Watson are called in to investigate the disappearance of a legendary painting, The Governor's Nose — drawing on Conan Doyle's The Naval Treaty and The Man with the Twisted Lip, with some liberties taken. The full cast is present: Mrs Hudson, a perpetually-one-step-behind Lestrade, and several shady characters who make the investigation considerably more complicated. Food and drink available throughout the evening. Doors at 5:30pm, showtime 6:30pm.
