About this event
The Sisters Long Barrow is a burial monument dating back around 6,000 years, built about 1,000 years before Stonehenge. Prehistory expert Ronald Hutton, excavation director Luke Jenkins and landowner Will Chester Master will discuss the latest findings from the final 2026 dig season.
The conversation looks at who the first farmers to settle Britain were and where they came from, placing the monument in the wider story of Neolithic long barrows. Dave Musgrove chairs the 90-minute session in Boutflour Hall at the Royal Agricultural University.
The festival says there is ample on-site parking via the Stroud Road entrance, with level access from the car park, disabled parking spaces and an accessible toilet. The programme currently lists this talk as sold out, so check the official listing for any change before travelling.
