Food & DrinkThe Long Table Lates: The Kimberleys
Thursday 14 May
📍 Cirencester

About this event
Two Jacobean banqueting houses, standing quietly on Church Street for nearly four centuries — and for one weekend in June, you can walk inside both of them.
Old Campden House itself was destroyed in 1645, leaving these two pavilions as the only survivors of what was once one of the great houses of the English countryside. The Landmark Trust, who look after them, open the doors just a handful of times a year.
Inside you'll find narrow spiral staircases, original stone floors, and the kind of atmosphere that doesn't need much explanation — the buildings do the talking. Leaflets on the history are provided, along with activity sheets for children, and the traces of the old formal garden are visible in the grounds.
The open days coincide with the wider Chipping Campden Open Gardens Festival, so there's good reason to make a day of it in the town.
Free to visit, though pre-booking is preferred and donations towards the conservation work are appreciated. No on-site parking — use the village car parks and walk down Church Street.
