About this event
Retired actress Judith Bliss misses the applause, so she invites a young fan to the family home. Each of the other Blisses has invited a guest too, setting up a country-house weekend of parlour games, put-downs and unwanted encores.
Christine Baranski and Richard E. Grant lead Emily Burns's production of the Noël Coward comedy, with Ophelia Lovibond and Will Close among the cast. Filmed live in the West End, the production comes to Chipping Norton as an NT Live cinema screening.
The screening is rated 12A and runs for 2 hours 40 minutes. The Thursday showing starts at 7pm, with further showings on Sunday at 2pm and 7pm; check the Sunday evening programme with the box office before booking.
Level entry is through the Bar door, with access to the stalls, bar, ticket collection and accessible toilet. There is no lift to the balcony, and walkers or other mobility aids may need storing outside the narrow aisles. Call 01608 642350 to arrange one of the four wheelchair spaces and companion places or discuss access.
Free long-stay parking is available at New Street, OX7 5NF, and Albion Street, OX7 5BJ. Avoid parking on residential Spring Street and check posted restrictions if using town-square spaces, particularly for the matinee.
Ticketed. Book each screening separately; confirm the Sunday evening programme with the box office.
