About this event
Fifteen days of events spread across the town — and Nailsworth does this kind of thing properly. The 2026 festival runs from 16 to 30 May across a string of venues including the Town Hall, St George's Church, Egypt Mill, and Ruskin Mill, with over 25 events taking in live music, theatre, workshops, talks, film, and a full Festival Saturday that takes over the streets for free.
The programme has real range: BBC cricket broadcaster Jonathan Agnew, award-winning singer-songwriters Boo Hewerdine and Yvonne Lyon, the Kleio Quartet (BBC New Generation Artists), jazz from the Philip Clouts Quartet, the Pantaloons doing Sherlock Holmes, a poetry slam, cocktail-making, ring-making, felting, a gospel choir, and textile demonstrations at the old mills. Festival Saturday on the 16th is free and family-friendly — circus, puppet shows, market stalls, and multiple stages.
Ticketed events range from £5 to £20, with concessions on most. The full programme and booking are at nailsworthfestival.org.uk.
