Music at the Abbey 2026

Band, choir and a flag-waving finale at Malmesbury Abbey

Wiltshire Concert Band and Cantanti Choir join forces for an evening that moves through film and show music to classic pop. The programme names music by The Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Neil Diamond and Boston, plus a brass band march by Goff Richards.

Guest soprano Kristina Takashina appears with the musicians, led by musical director Martin Perry and choir leader Lisa Williams. The finale brings together Rule, Britannia, Pomp and Circumstance and Jerusalem, with Union flags provided and the audience invited to sing along.

The concert supports The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, and tickets also contribute to the band's plans for a Training Band. Drinks and canapés are included.

Ticketed. The published 9.30pm finish has not been confirmed by the organiser.
