Parenthood and a family business share the stage

Elli Mackenzie draws on her own experience of raising children while running a family business in Motherhood, an autobiographical theatre piece from Oddsocks. The writing follows the joys, frustrations and absurd turns of parenting, with husband Andy, an orangutan and a giant woodlouse among its unusual story elements.

Mackenzie is an actress and writer, and Oddsocks' co-founder and Creative Producer. That connection gives the family-business subject a direct link to the company presenting the play.

The performance lasts 75 minutes without an interval, with doors at 7pm and a 7.30pm start. Elli invites the audience to join her in the bar for a drink and conversation afterwards.
