About this event
Abbey House sits inside the old abbey precinct in the centre of Malmesbury, its five acres holding the UK's largest private rose collection, over two thousand varieties built up by former owners Ian and Barbara Pollard, once known locally as the Naked Gardeners, through the 1990s and 2000s. New owners Whit and Kim Hanks, who bought the property in 2021 with plans to eventually run it as a hotel, are lending the grounds to HEALS of Malmesbury for this fundraising yoga morning.
Lottie May trained under Sally Parkes in 2016 and taught for several years in Bristol before moving her practice to Malmesbury. Her sessions favour functional, breath-led movement over anything acrobatic, and she's clear that beginners and stiff bodies are as welcome as anyone else. Arrive for 9.30am, mats are available to borrow, and the hour that follows runs through to 10.45am. Proceeds go toward HEALS's summer activity programme for young people in the town who might otherwise miss out.
This is the third and last of the three dates in the series, so it's the only remaining chance to do it here this year.
