The fairground comes back for round two

Cirencester's Market Place becomes a town-centre fairground from midday to 10pm, with rides and stalls filling the square. This is the second of the town's two Mop Fair Mondays in 2026, returning one week after the first fair.

Mop fairs began as hiring days, when workers carried an object showing their trade, before becoming community funfairs. The detailed 2026 ride line-up has not been published, so the attraction list remains a surprise rather than a promise.

The fair sits beside St John Baptist Church, with mostly level central streets and several council car parks within walking distance. Set-up begins at 4pm on Sunday 11 October and town-centre road closures will be in place, so check the council's latest travel information before setting off.

Free entry; rides are paid separately.
