The Abbey Grounds sit on the footprint of a twelfth-century Augustinian monastery, and the Norman Arch in the far corner is the only piece of it left standing. It is a more historically layered town park than most, and on summer Sunday afternoons the bandstand comes into its own.

This is the jazz instalment of Cirencester's Bands in the Park series, a programme of free outdoor concerts funded by the Cirencester Community Development Trust and running throughout the summer. The specific act is not listed at time of writing, so check the council website closer to the date. Sets run from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
