Howl-oween: Halloween Dog Show in Malmesbury

Dogs get their turn to dress up

The Old Bell Hotel's Howl-oween brings a Halloween dog show to Malmesbury's Cloister Gardens, with costumes optional for the dogs taking part. Categories include Spookiest Costume, Best Senior Dog, Best Human and Dog Duo, Waggiest Tail and Best in Show, so there is room for more than an elaborate outfit.

Artisan stalls will sell baked goods, pet supplies and gifts, with trick-or-treat fun alongside the show. Roasted chestnuts, toffee apples and warm apple punch are on the menu, along with Halloween hotdogs and burgers.

You can enter with your dog or come along to watch, and pet portraits offer a keepsake of the afternoon. Afterwards, the hotel's Tyger Bar and Abbey Row Restaurant are options for a drink or afternoon tea if you want to make a longer outing of it.

Ticketed. Dog-entry and spectator tickets available; children under 12 go free.
