Dursley Walking Festival: A Tortworth Tramp (Medium, 7.7 miles)

Meet Tortworth's ancient chestnut on the way home

This medium-grade walk starts with a coach from Dursley Bus Station to Falfield. The 7.7-mile route climbs towards Tortworth's ancient chestnut, with views back towards the Cotswold escarpment.

The path then follows the Little Avon and crosses fields to North Nibley for a planned lunch stop. From there, the group joins the Cotswold Way and returns over Stinchcombe Hill, with the walk scheduled from 9:30am to 3pm.

Wear walking boots or shoes and carry waterproofs, food and enough to drink. Festival rules require under-18s to come with a parent or guardian and be capable of completing the walk; dogs are not allowed.

Advance booking is required and includes the coach transfer; the festival says the fee does not cover its full coach cost and welcomes an optional donation.
