A Fundraiser That Funds the Hospital's Own Wish List

Cirencester Hospital League of Friends has been topping up the NHS budget since 1988, paying for the equipment and small comforts a trust account never quite stretches to. Past projects include the underwater-themed murals Cirencester College students painted for the day room on Coln Ward and a set of immersive screens installed in waiting areas to calm nervous patients. This fun day, held right on the hospital's own grounds off Tetbury Road, is one of the charity's biggest fundraisers of the year.

Expect a jumble sale worth arriving early for, a tombola, face painting for younger visitors, and games set up across the lawn. The League is currently raising money for a Raizer emergency lifting chair for the nursing team, so a go on the tombola here goes toward equipment the ward will actually use.

It's a rare chance to hand your money straight to the people who'll spend it on your own hospital.

Entry is charged.
