An Evening with Alison Steadman

What sits behind Beverly, Candice-Marie and Pamela?

Alison Steadman comes to Cidermill Theatre for a live conversation with Fiona Lindsay, an experienced theatre interviewer whose work has included the RSC, BBC and West End conversations. Lindsay will draw out the moments behind the performances and the work involved in building characters that have stayed with audiences.

Steadman's collaborations with Mike Leigh found sharp comedy in ordinary social behaviour, including Candice-Marie in Nuts in May and Beverly in Abigail's Party. Pamela in Gavin & Stacey and Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice give Lindsay another route into character, comic timing and a career spanning five decades.

The theatre has level and ramped access, a lift, an accessible toilet, designated disabled parking and two wheelchair spaces with companion seating; contact the box office about seating needs when booking. The adjacent car park is paid, and the bar opens before the event and is cashless.

Ticketed. Advance booking required.
