The Dragonfly Maze

The Dragonfly Maze on Rissington Road combines a yew hedge maze with a puzzle designed with artist and author Kit Williams. Visitors follow about half a mile of gravel paths, collecting 14 clues to solve a rebus and reveal the golden dragonfly in the central round house. The operator suggests allowing 20 to 50 minutes.

Buy a same-day time slot at the kiosk; there is no online or telephone booking. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs must stay on leads. Narrow paths and tight turns make the maze unsuitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. There are no toilets or cafe. Check current opening before travelling, as snow, ice or very heavy rain can close the maze.
