Dursley Pedalabikeaway
About
Dursley Pedalabikeaway
Dursley Pedalabikeaway is a cycle hire outpost set inside the old railway station building on Station Road, run by the same team behind the Forest of Dean Pedalabikeaway centres.
It sits at the start of the Pedersen Way, an 8km shared-use trail that follows the former Dursley branch railway corridor through Cam and on to Uley, opened in April 2026. The converted station gives the operation a bit of character β it is the kind of place that makes the most of the disused rail infrastructure rather than starting from scratch.
The trail is largely flat and traffic-free, which makes it well suited to families and anyone who wants a gentle ride without navigating roads. Bikes of various sizes are available for hire; electric options are typically stocked alongside standard adult and children's models.
It is worth checking availability and booking ahead at weekends and during school holidays, as demand at smaller Pedalabikeaway sites can outstrip supply quickly.
The Pedersen Way connects to existing paths toward Uley Bury and the Cotswold Way, so there is scope to extend the ride for those who want more distance.
