Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre

Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre is at College Farm on the A429 outside Bourton-on-the-Water, with guided rides towards Lower and Upper Slaughter. The River Ride is for children from four and nervous adults, with a guide walking alongside. Other rides have different age and riding-ability requirements, while Pony Days from seven include riding and hands-on pony care. The 45-minute beginner route operates from April to October.

Book ahead by email, WhatsApp or text, giving the ride date, children's ages and adult riders' heights, weights and experience. The centre applies rider weight limits and checks suitability for each ride. Arrive 15 minutes before the departure time for paperwork and hats and boots. Parking is by the stables, and visitors must not bring their own dogs onto the yard.
