Bourton House Garden

About

Bourton House Garden

Bourton House Garden is a three-acre formal garden in Bourton-on-the-Hill, with a topiary walk, herbaceous borders, a White Garden, a shade house and spring-fed water features. These include a raised basket pond associated with the Great Exhibition of 1851. Admission also includes a seven-acre tree walk, with a guide available for visitors.

The garden normally opens from April to October; check the current dates before travelling. Individual visitors do not need to book; groups of ten or more must arrange their visit in advance. There is free field parking opposite the entrance. Steps and gravel limit wheelchair access, and dogs are not allowed in the garden. The cafe serves light lunches, drinks and cakes from May to September, with a smaller drinks-and-cakes service in April and October.
