About

Batsford Arboretum & Garden Centre

Batsford Arboretum covers 60 acres of hillside near Moreton-in-Marsh, with Japanese flowering cherries, maples, magnolias, conifers and bamboo. Paths lead past streams and ponds, with views across the Evenlode Valley. Its garden centre, garden shop, gift shop and Garden Terrace Cafe can be visited without paying arboretum admission.

The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and cakes, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options and outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome throughout the site on short fixed leads. The arboretum is hilly, and picnics, bicycles and scooters are not allowed inside. The entrance is on the A44 at Bourton-on-the-Hill; there is no access from Batsford village. Check the operator's visitor notices before travelling, as weather can affect opening.
