The Double Red Duke

The Double Red Duke is a pub with rooms on Bourton Road in Clanfield, pairing open-fire cooking with 19 bedrooms. The current Country Creatures offer covers breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch, puddings, a kids' menu and drinks; the Chef's Counter centres on local meat and fish cooked over wood and charcoal. Rooms range from cosy doubles to family rooms, with some dog-friendly options.

Walk-ins are accepted when space allows, but the operator recommends booking because availability can be limited; book rooms through the operator's current reservation page. Most dining areas are wheelchair accessible and there is a ground-floor disabled bathroom. On-site parking is limited and first come, first served, with village street parking and the Mason's Arms across the road as alternatives. Dogs on leads can join you in the bar if arranged when booking, but not the dining rooms or Chef's Counter.
