Campden Yurts

Campden Yurts sits on a smallholding at Hillside Nursery on Kingcombe Lane, three quarters of a mile outside Chipping Campden, close enough to walk into town for dinner, far enough to feel properly rural.

There are just two yurts, Bluebell and Buttercup, each with its own private bathroom, wood burner, two-ring hob, and fire pit.

Buttercup has a fenced paddock and takes dogs (up to two). The site can be booked as individual units or hired exclusively as a pair.

Each yurt sleeps a family comfortably, one double, two single futons, and a cot with sheets, duvets, and kitchen basics all provided. The shared indoor kitchen adds a full-size fridge, microwave, and proper cookware if you want to self-cater seriously. Spacing between the two yurts is generous so you are not on top of your neighbours.

A few things to know going in: there is some road noise from the lane in the morning, you will be walking outside to reach the bathroom at night, and temperatures inside can drop sharply from mid-September onwards even with the wood burner going.

It suits families and couples best; the gated site makes it manageable with young children, and Chipping Campden itself, with the Woolstaplers Hall, the Almshouses, and the Cotswold Way on the doorstep it means there is no shortage of reasons to leave camp.
