What to do in Bibury when it’s raining (and why you should go anyway)
Hello Cotswolders,
We were meant to be heading to Bibury last weekend, but life, as it sometimes does, had other ideas.
So rather than pretend otherwise, we’ve taken the next best route and put together something that might actually be more useful: a guide to what to do in Bibury when the weather isn’t playing ball.
Because as pretty as Bibury is in the sunshine, the Cotswolds does not exactly have a spotless record when it comes to blue skies on demand.

This weekend we’re in Cirencester
We’re heading to the Cirencester Spring FEASTival this weekend, a proper spring market in the Market Place with street food, live music, crafts, local produce, and a bar.
It’s free to get in and runs on Saturday 18 April, 9am–5pm, and Sunday 19 April, 10am–5pm.
We’re also having dinner in Cirencester on Friday evening, and on Sunday we’re calling into a farm shop for breakfast and a look around.
Look out for the write-up next week.
This month’s competition
We’re still running our competition to win afternoon tea for two at The Swan at Bibury, right on the river, and one of the best-known hotels in the Cotswolds.
Free to enter, no catch.
Winner drawn Wednesday 6 May

Help us build this
We want Cotswold Digest to reflect the places people actually love, not just the ones that shout the loudest.
So if you know of an event worth featuring, a pub that deserves more attention, a walk we should try, or a hidden gem we’d be mad to miss, reply to this email or drop us a note at hello@cotswolddigest.com.
A little heads-up for next week
We’ve got some exciting changes on the way for Cotswold Digest.
From next week, you’ll start to see more images and a few new additions to the newsletter as we continue expanding both the site and what we share each Thursday.
We’re building it carefully, and we think it’s going to make each edition even better.
Follow along
We’ll be sharing from the FEASTival and our Cirencester weekend over on Facebook. Come and find us.
Until next Thursday,
Alex and the Cotswold Digest team
