Welcome to the Cotswold Digest
Hello Cotswolders,
Welcome to the very first Cotswold Digest.
If you're reading this, you're one of the first people to sign up and we genuinely appreciate it.
Every Thursday, we’ll send you a handpicked round-up of what’s worth knowing across the Cotswolds: events, places to eat and drink, walks, days out, hidden gems, and the kind of local knowledge that doesn’t always make it onto the big travel sites, thank goodness.
Think of it as a friend who happens to know the Cotswolds very well.
This month’s competition
To kick things off, we’re giving away afternoon tea for two at The Swan at Bibury, one of the best-known hotels in the Cotswolds.
No catch — just head to cotswolddigest.com/competitions to enter.
Winner drawn Wednesday 6 May.
On the site this week
Spring has properly arrived, so we’ve put together our Cotswold Spring Bucket List, 7 things worth doing across the region before the season slips away.
Think bluebell woods, open gardens, lambing, farmers’ markets, and a few ideas you might not have considered.
Read it now at cotswolddigest.com.
What’s on this week
Live Lambing on the Farm is still running at Cotswold Farm Park in Guiting Power — a great one for families if you fancy getting out into the countryside this week.
They've also got an Easter event running over the holidays, so well worth a visit if you are looking for something to do with the kids over the Easter break.
The Room on the Broom trail is also on at Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury — brilliant for little ones, and a lovely excuse to get into the trees.
And coming up on 12 April, Macchina Cotswolds is taking over The Dial House courtyard in Bourton-on-the-Water with supercars, classics, and a morning of full-blown petrolhead culture in one of the prettiest villages in the region.
We’re in Northleach this weekend
This Saturday, we’re heading to Northleach to explore properly — trying out places to eat and drink, having a look around, and getting a feel for what makes it worth a visit.

Help us build this
We want Cotswold Digest to reflect the places people actually love — not just the ones that shout the loudest.
So if you know of an event worth featuring, a pub that deserves more attention, a walk we should try, or a hidden gem we’d be mad to miss, send it our way.
