DJ Oli Turns Sheep Street Into a Dance Floor

The Sheep's Friday evenings this August have moved through Spanish guitar, soft rock and a set from a former 90s rock band bassist, all billed in the pub's own listings as Summer Sip & Sound. The last Friday of the month drops that name for something different: The Mini Feast, with DJ Oli back behind the decks for a night of classic dance anthems.

Doors open at 6pm for three and a half hours of dance anthems, run with the same low-key setup as the rest of the series: RSVP through Facebook, no ticket to book, no table to reserve. The Sheep itself is a 17th-century coaching inn on Stow's main street, these days run as a restaurant, bar and set of guest rooms under the Brakspear group.

For a pub built around plates of hearty British food, this Friday the main event is the dance floor, not the menu.
