About this event
The Big Feastival returns to Alex James' farm outside Kingham for its annual collision of live music, serious cooking, and family chaos. This year the music billing is one of the strongest it has fielded: Basement Jaxx open proceedings on Friday, The Streets headline Saturday with a full performance of A Grand Don't Come For Free — the first time the album has ever been played live in its entirety — and Bastille close out the weekend on Sunday.
Across three stages and a silent disco, the rest of the weekend fills out with Rudim3ntal, Mimi Webb, Doves, Perrie, White Lies, The Coral, Ms Dynamite, Freya Ridings, The Ordinary Boys, Red Rum Club, Antony Szmierek, Tors, Bradley Simpson, The Cuban Brothers and more. The food lineup runs in parallel: chef demos from Anna Haugh, Emily English, Rachel Allen, Poppy O'Toole, Tom Barnes, Meera Sodha and Nokx Majozi across the Chef's Pantry stage, with The Horne Section, Shappi Khorsandi, Harriet Kemsley and The Scummy Mummies handling comedy duties. The family field has Justin Fletcher, MC Grammar and Barrioke with Shaun Williamson.
The Streets doing A Grand Don't Come For Free start to finish, outdoors, in a Oxfordshire field — that alone is worth the weekend.
