Royal Ballet and Opera: Manon

A dark ballet where love competes with luxury

The Royal Ballet's cinema broadcast of Kenneth MacMillan's Manon follows a young woman caught between Des Grieux's devotion and the wealth of 18th-century Parisian society. Jules Massenet's music and Nicholas Georgiadis's designs shape the three-act ballet.

Yasmine Naghdi dances Manon and William Bracewell dances Des Grieux, with Koen Kessels conducting. The screening lasts about three hours ten minutes.
