A Sunday Afternoon's Worth of Brass

The Abbey Grounds in Cirencester is one of the better outdoor settings for a band — open, grassed, with the ruins of the medieval Augustinian abbey providing an unlikely backdrop. Phoenix Brass's Bands in the Park series fills Sunday afternoons in July with exactly this combination.

A free brass band concert in the parkland behind Cirencester town. Bring a blanket and something to eat. Light concert music and popular arrangements suited to open air, families, and passing dog walkers.
