Hear Messiah at chamber scale

This performance brings Handel's Messiah into focus with singers from the Tallis Choral Foundation and Baroque in the North playing period instruments. Harpsichord continuo, period timpani and trumpets add colour, while soloists step out from the chorus rather than arriving as a separate group.

The concert is split into two sections of roughly an hour, with an interval and soft drinks. Seating is unrestricted, so early arrival is sensible if you have a preferred position.

Doors open at 5.30pm. Abbey Grounds and The Brewery are the suggested nearby car parks, and most town centre parking is free after 6pm.
