H is for Hawk at Tetbury Goods Shed

A goshawk, a grief story and a new Goods Shed cinema season

Tetbury Film Society opens its 2026 to 27 season at the Goods Shed with H is for Hawk, Philippa Lowthorpe's drama about a Cambridge lecturer grieving her father and turning to falconry. Based on Helen Macdonald's memoir, it follows Helen as she trains a goshawk named Mabel and tries to rebuild her connection with the world.

The film stars Claire Foy and Brendan Gleeson, and the society lists it as a 12A drama running for about 115 minutes. Doors open at 6.15pm, with the Goods Shed's licensed bar available before the 7pm screening.

The BBFC's 12A advice includes infrequent strong language, drug misuse, injury detail and sex references, alongside themes of bereavement and mental health. The venue has an accessible ground floor, floor-level disabled seating and free parking next door, with further access information available from the Goods Shed.
