About this event
Fresh Air Sculpture has been placing contemporary work in the grounds of the Old Rectory at Quenington since 1992. This summer is the last — and they're going out with over 130 pieces spread across four acres of lawns, riverside paths, pergolas, flower beds and kitchen garden, subtitled The Last Blast of Fresh Air.
Stone, textiles, ceramics, glass, video and metals — the range of media is deliberately wide, and many works are created specifically for the space. The Pool House doubles as a gallery shop for contemporary crafts and design. On 20 June, children's Flower Art Workshops run alongside the main show. Allow at least two hours — probably more.
Eight miles east of Cirencester, two miles north of Fairford, in one of the quieter Coln Valley villages. Thirty-four years of doing this — and from the scale of the final lineup, not going quietly.
Adults £10, under-18s free. Catalogue £5. Dogs on leads welcome. Free parking on the village green.
