Feast of Fools: Songs of Land and Rebellion

📅 Sunday, 1 November 2026 at 19:15📍 Bingham Hall, King Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 1JT

About this event

Close the festival with songs of land and rebellion

Local a cappella folk quartet Feast of Fools closes the Cirencester History Festival with a traditional set at Bingham Hall. The programme draws on songs connected with John Ball, The World Turned Upside Down and John Barleycorn, with themes of community, resilience and protest.

The set follows Mark Horton's talk on Cirencester and the Arthurian myth, and admission is included with that talk's ticket. The Bingham Hall bar stays open, while the main hall is wheelchair and pushchair accessible with accessible toilets nearby.

Parking around the hall is limited, so the organiser advises allowing extra time. Forum and Beeches are the nearest listed car parks, with some spaces at Cirencester Primary School and additional weekend parking options nearby.

Ticketed. Admission is included with a Cirencester and the Arthurian Myth ticket.
