If you grew up watching Time Team on a Sunday afternoon, there's a reasonable chance some of those three-day digs were happening right here. Over 27 years, the show excavated five sites across the Cotswolds — and most of what they found never made it to television.

Phillip, Collections Engagement Assistant at the Corinium, uses this hour to go through all five, from the first dig in 1997 through to 2024. The talk covers what actually came out of the ground, what the excavation process looked like once the cameras stopped, and the artefacts that ended up in collections rather than in the final cut. It's the kind of detail that doesn't fit into a three-day format — which is exactly what makes it worth an hour of your Thursday afternoon.
