Coldplay Inspired Concert by Candlelight: Witney

Coldplay songs, candlelight and a string quartet in Witney

Coldplay's songs are being reworked for string quartet inside St Mary's Church in Witney, with a candlelit setting and a 70-minute performance. The published programme includes Yellow, The Scientist, Clocks, Fix You, Viva La Vida, Paradise and A Sky Full of Stars, while the full running order will be revealed on the night.

There are two sittings at 4pm and 8pm, with doors opening 30 minutes before each and unreserved seating inside the church. The afternoon performance welcomes children of any age with a parent or guardian, while the evening sitting is for children aged eight and over who can remain quietly seated.

Candelabra Concerts says access may be limited by the historic building. The parish notes time-limited parking outside St Mary's and by Henry Box School, with The Leys suggested as an alternative. This is a themed concert by Candelabra's own string quartet, not an official Coldplay performance or endorsement.
