About this event

A festival where the past is stitched, argued over and brought to life

Cirencester History Festival runs from 23 October to 1 November with talks, walks, exhibitions, workshops, family activities and music across venues around town. One distinctive thread is the Bayeux-inspired Cirencester Tapestry, where visitors can add their own stitches during the week.

Sessions take place at the Parish Church, Corinium Museum, halls, libraries and university venues, with free drop-ins alongside separately bookable events. Availability varies and some sessions are already sold out, so check each programme entry for the latest booking, parking and access details.

Ticketed and free entry events.
