Camfest 2026

Three Days of Music, Making and Mischief on the Campden Rec

Camfest is Chipping Campden's own community festival — youth-led, free on the Recreation Ground, and built around participation from the whole town. 2026 is a three-day event: a Friday warm-up at Cidermill Theatre on the 14th, then the full outdoor programme across Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August.

Saturday is the main day. World Jungle brings circus skills, drumming, zorbing and giant Jenga from 10am; the Living Heritage area runs blacksmithing, dry-stone walling, hedge laying and stonemasonry until 4pm; Athlean Academy's Crossbar King Challenge and Speed Lab runs 11am to 3pm. Younity Youth, Pink Belt Martial Arts and the Scouts are out across the day with demos and drop-ins. From 6pm Campden Morris perform and lead a workshop; the Saturday night finale is a folk dancing ceilidh under the big top from 7pm.

Alongside Saturday's outdoor programme, Sparkhouse Creatives run a full day of bookable workshops at Cidermill Theatre: Shakespeare's Villains, Full Face Comedy Mask, Learn Your Favourite Musical Song and Block Printing Tote Bag. Sunday at Cidermill brings Rozie T Dance workshops across commercial, contemporary and jazz — two age groups, 10am to 4pm.

The Friday warm-up (14 August) features a Longborough Festival Opera youth workshop at Cidermill Theatre, 1:30–3pm, followed by an evening cinema screening. Recreation Ground events are all free.
