Ferraris, Lamborghinis and a Jet Car on The Green

The Broadway Car Show runs across two days in August, and Saturday is the one to attend if supercars are your thing. The village High Street and The Green are taken over by up to 75 carefully curated machines — Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Porsches and a few surprises — in what the organisers describe, with some justification, as a mini Salon Privé set in the heart of the Cotswolds.

The headline attraction this year is the Vampire Jet Car: the current UK Land Speed Record holder at an average of 300.3 mph. You won't see that at a typical show. The programme runs from 11am once exhibiting cars have processed through the village, with simulators, a PA broadcast of exhibitor interviews, and a Best Car in Show award presentation at 4pm. Catering is on The Green — pork baps, pizza, coffee — and the village pubs and restaurants are close for those who want more.

Entry is free, though you'll want to pick up a show catalogue for £2 at the gate: it covers the cars on display and gives access to the show competitions.
