Avening Silver Band – Bands in the Park 2026

Free brass in the open air, with one of the Cotswolds' own bands on the Cirencester bandstand. The Bands in the Park series returns to the Abbey Grounds this summer, and the Avening Silver Band kick off the May dates on a Sunday afternoon.

Two hours of live music, no ticket required — bring a blanket and something to eat and you've got yourself a proper afternoon out. The Abbey Grounds are one of the better spots in Cirencester to do absolutely nothing in particular, and a brass band playing in the background makes the argument for staying a while.

Free entry. Performances may not take place in inclement weather.
