The Morris Clown
About
The Morris Clown
The Morris Clown is a Grade II listed, mid-18th-century free house on Bampton's High Street. This single-bar pub has changing guest ales, seasonal real cider, a winter log fire and French-themed murals; its name recalls the controversial change from the New Inn in Bampton, where the Morris role is traditionally a Fool.
Food is not currently advertised in the sources checked, so check before travelling if you need to eat. CAMRA lists dogs as welcome, but that policy should be confirmed with the pub; weekday opening is evening-only, with longer hours at weekends, and the current times are worth checking before a special journey.
