About

The Legbar at Daylesford

The Legbar sits at the heart of Daylesford Farm's estate near Kingham — a purpose-built bar and lounge that extends the main Trough café into something looser and more sociable. Named after the Cream Legbar chickens kept on the farm, it occupies its own stone building with exposed beams, a through-and-through fireplace, skylights, and banquette seating along one wall. The doors fold fully open onto a covered terrace and courtyard garden, making it one of the few Cotswold spots that genuinely changes character with the weather.

The menu leans into small plates and Mediterranean-style nibbles, intended to sit alongside wine, botanical cocktails, or good coffee rather than fill the role of a full meal. It runs from breakfast through to drinks, making it equally useful for a morning coffee after a farm shop browse or an afternoon with something cold and a plate of something to share. Everything on the estate follows Daylesford's organic principles, so the produce behind the food and drinks traces back to the farm itself.
