About

Delicacy Deli & Coffee Shop

Delicacy sits in Middle Row, the small island of buildings at the centre of Chipping Norton's market square, and it doubles as both a proper working delicatessen and a sit-in cafe.

The shelves carry over a thousand lines — artisan breads baked fresh each day, homemade cakes and traybakes, a serious cheese and charcuterie counter, olives, chutneys, jams, chocolates, oils and vinegars, plus a range of gins and wines — with a strong bias towards producers from Oxfordshire and the wider Cotswolds. It is the kind of place that makes a quick stop difficult.

The coffee shop side runs lunches and afternoon teas alongside the takeaway trade, so it works equally well as a place to sit with a flat white and a slice of cake or as somewhere to pick up the ingredients for an evening at home.

The produce focus makes it useful for gifts and hamper-building too. It suits anyone who cares about where food comes from and wants something a cut above a standard high-street cafe.
